Writing from the Hipbone: Interpreting the World through the Body

In this all-levels workshop we will read, think, talk, listen, and write (scraps of) poems. Furthermore, we will ask questions without answers and engage the five senses, the elements, and how to paint our experiences into language. This will be a workshop devoted to the small pleasures of sound, image, and intergalactic silence. We will write with energy but without regard. We will kiss the earth with our chests, then erase our names with the clouds. Wear your darkest lipstick and finest baseball cap – things might get weird.
